Tom van Dorp appointed as CEO SolarEnergyWorks

As of March 1, Tom van Dorp (32) will succeed Marc van Velzen as CEO of SolarEnergyWorks. Marc (65) is founder and co-shareholder of SolarEnergyWorks together with Eric van der Gun. They have developed the company from its inception in 2012 into an established name in the sector. After a period of strong growth, it is time for Marc to hand over the baton as CEO. His successor has been working as New Business Director at SolarEnergyWorks for over a year and has been able to grow into this new role.
Tom has been active in the sector since 2010 and has acquired a wealth of international experience and network which he will be able to put to good use in his new position. Marc van Velzen: “Our mission is to have realized a total of at least 500 MWp of solar parks in the Netherlands by 2025. Tom will make this possible with the team!”
Tom studied at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he completed his Masters in International Economics and Business Economics. From 2010 he made his entrance into the solar industry and held various positions in the field of Business Development & Sales.
During his active career within the solar industry, Tom grew into a well-known face in the market with a lot of knowledge and experience in the national and international playing field of sustainable energy.
